CW603N

CW603N free-machining brass combines copper and zinc with lead dispersed in the microstructure, enhancing its machinability. It has strength and corrosion resistance that closely resemble steel, making it a preferred choice for precision machining. The alloy is ductile in softened states and maintains strength under demanding conditions. It forms a thin protective patina that prevents rusting, making it ideal for heavy industrial parts and applications needing a high-polished finish. CW603N brass is available in various shapes such as rounds, flats, squares, hexagons, shapes, and hollows. It offers excellent workability, is suitable for soldering and mechanical polishing, but has limited welding capabilities.

• Copper (Cu): 60.00 - 62.00%

• Lead (Pb): 2.50 - 3.50%

• Zinc (Zn): Remainder (Balance)

• Iron (Fe): Up to 0.20%

• Nickel (Ni): Up to 0.30%

• Tin (Sn), aluminium (Al), and other trace elements in very small amounts
