CW706R is a dezincification-resistant brass alloy also known as Admiralty Brass. It has a pure alpha structure and excellent cold working properties, making it well-suited for applications in warm, acidic, and marine environments.

Tin (Sn): 0.9% – 1.2%
Arsenic (As): 0.02% – 0.06%
Lead (Pb): Up to 0.07%
Iron (Fe): Up to 0.06%
Other impurities: Up to 0.4%

Elongation: Minimum 45%
Hardness: Approximately 130 HB (Brinell)

Key Features and Fabrication
Excellent resistance to dezincification and corrosion in marine and acidic environments
Good formability with high strength and ductility
Suitable for soldering and brazing, but not recommended for welding
Machinability is moderate at about 25-30% compared to free-cutting brasses
