CZ108, also known as CW508L, is a high-purity yellow brass alloy with approximately 62-64% copper and 37% zinc. It is primarily used where excellent hot and cold forming properties are required, especially in sheet and plate forms.

Excellent cold working and drawing capabilities, suitable for tubes and sheets
Fair capacity for hot working
Excellent soldering and brazing ability
Good weldability with oxyacetylene and spot welding; fair for gas shielded arc welding
Machinability: Moderate, best at slow speeds and light feeds
Not suitable for seam welding and coated metal arc welding
