CW511L is a lead-free brass alloy known for its very good resistance to dezincification, making it ideal for use in aggressive water environments and applications requiring high corrosion resistance.

Zinc (Zn): Balance (around 36-37%)
Lead (Pb): ≤ 0.10%
Tin (Sn): ≤ 0.10%
Iron (Fe): ≤ 0.10%
Nickel (Ni): ≤ 0.30%
Aluminium (Al): ≤ 0.05%
Arsenic (As): 0.02% – 0.08%
Other impurities: ≤ 0.20%

Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS): Minimum 320 MPa
Proof Stress: Minimum 200 MPa
Elongation: Minimum 20%
Suitable for rods and bars with diameters from 6 mm to 60 mm and hex or square bars also available
Machinability rating around 30-40 compared to free cutting brasses
