DIN 2.0966 is a nickel aluminium bronze alloy (equivalent to CW307G or CA104), widely used for its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.

Chemical Composition (Typical ranges)

• Copper (Cu): Approx. 78 - 83%

• Aluminium (Al): 8.5 - 11%

• Nickel (Ni): 4 - 6%

• Iron (Fe): 3 - 5%

• Manganese (Mn): Max 1%

• Zinc (Zn): Max 0.4%

• Silicon (Si): Max 0.2%

• Lead (Pb): Max 0.05%

• Tin (Sn): Max 0.1%

• Other impurities: Max 0.2%

Mechanical Properties

• Tensile Strength: 600 – 760 MPa (87 – 110 ksi)

• Yield Strength (0.2% offset): 400 – 530 MPa (58 – 77 ksi)

• Elongation: 5% – 15%

• Hardness (Vickers): 170 – 220 HV
