CW303G

CW303G is an aluminium bronze alloy also known as CuAl8Fe3 or UNS C61400. It is a copper-based alloy containing approximately 6-8% aluminium, 1.5-3.5% iron, and small amounts of manganese and zinc, providing excellent mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance.

• Copper (Cu): 86 – 92.5%

• Aluminium (Al): 6.0 – 8.0%

• Iron (Fe): 1.5 – 3.5%

• Manganese (Mn): 0 – 1.0%

• Zinc (Zn): 0 – 1.0%

• Lead (Pb): 0 – 0.01%

Mechanical Properties

• Tensile Strength (Ultimate): 540 – 570 MPa (78 – 83 ksi)

• Yield Strength (Proof): 220 – 270 MPa (32 – 38 ksi)

• Elongation: 34 – 40%

• Elastic Modulus: 110 GPa

• Shear Strength: 370 – 380 MPa

• Melting Point (Solidus): 1040°C

• Melting Point (Liquidus): 1050°C

• Thermal Conductivity: 67 W/m·K

• Specific Heat Capacity: 420 J/kg·K

• Electrical Conductivity: 14 – 15% IACS
