C86200

C86200 is a high-strength manganese bronze alloy also known as CDA 862 or SAE 430A. It is primarily composed of copper, zinc, aluminium, manganese, and iron, offering excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance, especially suited for heavy-load applications at slow speeds.

• Lead (Pb): Maximum 0.2%

• Tin (Sn): Maximum 0.2%

• Yield Strength (0.5% offset): Minimum 45 ksi (310 MPa)

• Elongation: Minimum 18%

• Brinell Hardness: Typical around 180 BHN

• Density: Approximately 7.97 g/cm³

• Electrical Conductivity: 8% IACS at 68°F

• Melting Point: Solidus around 1650°F (899°C), Liquidus around 1725°F (941°C)

• Modulus of Elasticity: Approximately 15,000 ksi (103,400 MPa)
